Dota 2 MAC | Game does not launch

I've suddenly been unable to launch dota 2. I try to play it and it tells me its running, then nothing...

I've tried to restart my laptop, uninstall and install dota 2 and steam, -autoconfig, verify integrity of game files...

What else can I do?

DOTA 2 not starting in mac after the 9th november 2k18 update ..!!

tried -autoconfig , -safe mode launch options. uninstalled and downloaded the game again. nothing works , please help :(
when play button is clicked , it shows "runnning" for a while and it changes to "Ready to play" in few seconds.

Its not the game, its the Steam Overlay. You need to update your OS.

search and install for one of the latest mac os software updates through the app store and it will work again

DOTA NOT LAUNCHE ON IMAC

I have reinstall both dota and steam it dit not workt for me, now i had reset my IMAC to factery new and reeinstall everythhin all over again. My problem still is there DOTA will not work. Anymore with this problem? PLS help.

Same problem here. Yesterday i played without problems, today i cant start the game.

System: 10.10.5 (Yosemite)
HW: MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2011)
