1. Source 2 is not 10 years old. Source 2 was announced in 2015, and Dota 2 was ported to Source 2 in 2015, which is at worst 5 years old. There is literally nothing wrong with the engine as is, so demanding a complete redesign of the engine is pointless and a waste of time/resources.
2. Complaining about models of heroes "not looking as good as the new ones" is such an irrelevant and pointless comment. Name a game that doesn't have this issue when it comes to having tons of variants/heroes/characters/etc.? The newer ones will look better because they are made with more modern technology and more experienced developers. Maybe Snapfire/Void Spirit look better because they were made in late 2019 as opposed to OG heroes that were made years upon years ago?
3. How is cheating being a report category the end of the world? It's people using scripts/macros predominantly to get an unfair advantage over other players (tinker scripters or AM script to automatically use counterspell). Nobody is giving themselves godmode or insta kill abilities, but rather using their computers to compensate for their lack of skill by having the computer do it for them. They aren't cheats so much as they are removing the skill required to perform certain combos.
So no, you are almost 100% completely wrong. Most of what you said is petty/misinformed and a flat out lie as a result. The only thing you are even remotely right on is the bugs, but that happens with any game sooner or later.
DOTA 3 now.
It's been a decade already, for crying out loud.
I forgot about that one which was way older than even WarCraft 3 itself yet still to this day, it still doesn't have its 3rd iteration. Although I admit I don't know the story of that but the amount of time that have passed IS staggering
If friggin' Left4Dead got theirs first than that, I'll rest my case for the last time.
But either way, still, DOTA 3 >>>>> more bloat updates.
they killed my baby tiny nerf after nerf they killed him
League of legends has a player base of nearly a hundred millions players. Money is far from being an issue for them.
That doesn't change anything. LoL is also free to play and both games have micro transactions. The fact that Dota micro transactions are not affecting the competitive aspect doesn't make it less of a money machine. Just like someone who paid to unlock his heroes in LoL, someone who paid to have Dota 2 rewards expect the game to keep going and not shut down the day after.
Altough the amount of money one makes doesn't force them to update their game what so ever. League wasn't force to do it and because League did it doesn't Valve have to.
