Why Lion Finger of Death Deal 0 damage to Rubbcik ?

i cast some 4 5 times ss with 18 stack of finger of death but it does 0 damage why ? and not just in 1 match but at least it the 5th or 6th time it happen to m

Yeah dude, today i saw that one time too
Lion in my team use finger to their rubick
And then it's literally No damage, that rubick got absoloutely nothing to resist that finger
At that second i think

"Oh maybe when lion casting the finger he die in the sametime
so the finger that go out will do zero damage"

At that very moment i though that. untill i saw your post, something wrong with it 100%

If you want help and analysis, I recommend you go to your in-game options-advanced options, check "expose public matchmaking data" then go to www.dotabuff.com, login with Steam's openid, then on the dotabuff page, click on the gear in the top right corner (settings), then on the settings page, click on the button that says "update match history."

In the majority of cases, these "ermagerds, how did this guy do this?" threads are not because of a bug, exploit or cheat but simply because of an item or ability and a poster who is not entirely familiar with the game and not very forthcoming with details.

The most logical reason for that I believe is that he DODGED Finger of Death.

When cast, Finger of Death has a 0.25s delay before the damage is applied and players can evade the skill during that time (with Blink or other items).

Maybe he has stolen an ability which grants him spell immunity or protection from magic damage? Did you have any heroes with magic damage resistance or spell immunity abilities in your team?

4298961799 HERE IS MATCH ID I CASTED finger on rubbick and nothing happen to him 0 damage . u can c this in the last 10 minutes of match at bottom .4298961799 u can c this too in this match i casted SS of lion on rubbick not just once but twice but it deal 0 damage he has no items to block that damage

This is what I was thinking. There are many spells which can negate all damage such as TA's refraction, jugg's spin, life stealer's Q. Plus there are dodges such as sleight of fists and storm spirit's ball lightning just to name a couple.

Of course this guy posted while I was typing mine, lol. I didn't watch the match so if you did in fact have AEON disk active, then that is why.
