Eset Nod32 Steam chat
How can i deactivate exclusively the Nod 32 in order to allow the steam chat?

Nod is usually pretty good about things. Only had like 1-2 false positives in years and years of using it, so I may leave it blocked for a little just in case the new steam chat got internet stds suddenly.

I am pretty pleased with nod32 too. Hope we get a cure soon.

same problem but i fix it i just do update product to (" EIS" 11.2.63.0) and restart pc.

thats completely different. antivirus products can in certain conditions introduce more vulnerabilities than they protect from. if you run random executables online from which you do not trust the source, then perhaps an antivirus is good for you.

Pull up Eset. Click on Setup on the left.
Click on Advanced setup on the lower right.
Click on Web access protection on the left menu.
Click the plus sign to open URL Address Management.
Click edit on the Address List.
Highlight the list of allowed addresses.
Click Edit on the lower left.
Click add on the lower left of the new window.
Type in "https://steam-chat.com"
Click "OK"

yes it is a valve domain or else the chat wouldnt be blocked.

as soon as i booted up my pc, saw the eset blocking this domain, its kind of wired that it only affect this one, because every other task on steam was working properly, shop, library etc... even my friends could see me online for exeption that "https://steam-chat.com" was being blocked. the solution its to just let the domain pass the firewall

windows defender is usless, i had alot of bad experience with it, if we speak abaut performance eset has a gaming optimisation profile, where it goes on and off whenever it detects a full screen program, i tried alot of antivirus and i belive this is one of the best, just my opinion
