There is this bug where I cannot use or purchase or put it on to my hero's item pool. And it's darkened in the items list. Help

Yeah, I just noticed this. Some of the items are kind of wonky, and so I wanted to test them out before actually playing a game, just to see if they even worked as advertised. It's very difficult to know what you're up against if you can't reliably experiment. Some of those tier 4 or 5 items might end up being a trap late in the game, so you should be able to get a feel for them in practice mode.

How will you truly find out how good an item is in demo mode. Try playing vs Bots. Im guessing the reason is the neutral items drop from neutral creeps. There are no neutral creeps in demo.

Man, you cannot literally acquire all neutral items in one game against bots because not all neutral items drop at once in a single game. So you cannot test all those items at once in a bot game and in a real game too. You can view all neutral items though in the item list in demo and in a real game, but you cannot buy it. I just wish they'd fix it for it to be available in demo mode for practice.

It isn't a matter of knowing how good the item is so much as getting a feel for what the item does. These items take up slots, and some don't really offer that much in terms of raw stats. You need to get an idea for whether these items are going to be worth the space they take up, and demo mode will let you see exactly how much armor you're going to miss when you pick up a nether shawl, or how Titan Sliver interacts with enchant totem, etcetera.
