Where is Dota 1?

Why is it not on Steam? Is it an exclusive or something? was the game made by Valve?

Dota 1 or known as "DotA:All-Stars" was a mod for Warcraft 3.

Its a custom map of blizzard's warcraft, it just became famous that valve made it as an official game. Some hero name were changed for copyright issues like windranger, in dota 1 shes called as windrunner but since its lore is from blizzard they had to change it

that's a semi-weak example. first off, the name of the windrunner is Alleria in dota, and it was never Alleria in dota 2, they changed it right off the bad to Lyralei,

Leoric the Skeleton King, another character from blizz universe, but this time diablo was changed to be Ostarion the Wraith King, that's a total change.
