MY DOTA2 SETTING WONT SAVE AFTER I LOG OUT, WHEN I LOG IN AGAIN IT GOES BACK TO THE PREVIOUS SETTING!! PLEASE HELP

I have the same problem. It autochecks "Hold select hero to follow" in options every time I log in and its seriously annoying.

Fix this by simply setting the files required to no longer be read-only (just unchecking a box under right-click > properties)

The 2 files required are in steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/dota/cfg.

Go to dota cfg in your installation folder and uncheck read only option in properties.

i tried it but how do i do it when i go to the cfg folder i click the folder or right click it the cfg folder and go to the properties and uncheck the read only?

Hmm maybe turn the steamcloud saving? If you exit the game fast enough and terminate steam it wont save

when i right click the cfg folder and uncheck the read only when i apply it and when i open the properties of the cfg folder it goes back( check read only). . what the hell is this. .

Search for Steamcloud, turn it on and it will keep your settings, do not exit dota 2 and close steam abruptly, wait for the game to save the settings to steam cloud before closing it

Steam cloud works, search it in steam settings

And on dota 2 properties via steam, Allow Steamcloud to store data

If it doesnt work its simoly because you havent turned on steam cloud saving
