Dota 2 has come a long way since Dota 1, not talking about graphics but mechanics.
Don't get me wrong I played dota 1 for 7 years straight, but I won't play it again due to how things work. Dota 2 is superior no subjective involved.
just character control make it worthy.
anyway, i think problems of dota2 aint coming from engine or models. its matchmaking and community, not the picture.
Is dota 2 bad game no. It is filled with toxicity because communication barrier in most cases. At least in warcraft you didn't have that issue.
DotA is a MOD, blizzard cannot name It dota 3 as they dont have the rights for the Dota copyright, ice frog does.
Someone can make a entirely different MOBA mod on W3:R.But otherwise if it is too close to the original mod,Ice Frog is legally allowed to do something about it.
He currently owns it,yes, but he didnt make it.I forgot who the ORIGINAL owner of the mod was,but i know a dev for LoL was the one before Ice Frog.
Ice Frog and Guisino(?) probably. But not Valve and Blizzard.
So Icefrog and Eul get to keep the DotA mod as Guinsoo took some material from it, like item names, hero/champion concepts and even skill names.
It isn't, Playing League daily and typing "Dota/Dota 2" and all of that never censored it
