Dota 2
Is there a way to report a player directly to valve?
Because he seems to have done it before for having repeating words like: you suck a d... and report me nobody gives a f.

BTW there was no reason for his talk. He just likes to begin flaming when no one even talked to him.

Thanks.

Why don't you just mute him? I've never understood why people are so adamant about not doing that.

Because why must other people hear his nonsense again and again? Because again he said nobody gives a f about reports. And he's one of the players who are trolls, starting a flame war out of the blue when no one talked to him.

You wont "hear" it if you mute him. It blocks all text and voice chat from him towards you. Also there is a way to report, after match report him for communication abuse.

it's not like they have freetime to waste on considering if they should ban someone because he got mad at someone who probably wasn't able to play

Open the scoreboard, click his name, click "View Profile", then you'll see "Friend ID" is actually a link and it will take you to his STEAM profile.

Report him there, by clicking the "More" button next to "Add Friend" and select report.
Then select "Harassing me or someone i know", select dota2 and put in "Serial dota2 greifer/troll" and watch him get permanently banned.

That's not how it works. Don't spread misinformation.

As Dominox3 pointed out already, you won't get anyone banned like that, not even temporarily much less permanently. Steam Support isn't reviewing every Dota 2 match where someone called someone else a name.

Also, your own chat logs are full of profanity, harassment, flaming, trolling and toxicity so according to you, you should be reporting your own profile to get "permanently banned."

I have a current warning that i'm going to be banned for 6 months, so your point is moot.

Thats because you got alot of reports ingame. Reports outside dota2 client do not lead to any dota2 bans. (Unless maybe obvious cases of vac undetectable cheating i assume).

Yes, and as already pointed out, you have a 6 month ban warning due to in-game reports, not from people reporting your Steam profile.

why are so many people so much into cancelling other users..?

if someone offends you, why can't you just mute them? instead you just stand there and take it.

I think it's better to focus on playing in Dota 2 than worrying about how to blacken someone. Toxicity in this game always has 2 sides. Maybe you just have to put up with stupid comments in chat without being banned. Otherwise, everyone who still comunicates in the game writes stupid comments from time to time, this is simply human. Yes I now we all believe we have eaten from the apple of wisdom.

The way you talk about this topic is exactly the problem of the gaming community. The LGBT+ community are being discriminated around the world, criminalized and abuse and the gaming community is notorius for its toxic behaviour towards them. In other words, the gaming commuity is not a safe place for LGBT+ people. The way you end this discrimination is about not allowing hate speach and/or hatecrimes. This means that Valve has a responsibility to it's users to protect them.

However, my claim that Valve has a zero-policy on homophobia, I just learned from the linked thread, is false. They have chosen to enable toxic environments that bully, stigmatize and devalue people, especially the LGBT+ community. They write,

"With that principle in mind, we've decided that the right approach is to allow everything onto the Steam Store, except for things that we decide are illegal, or straight up trolling. Taking this approach allows us to focus less on trying to police what should be on Steam, and more on building those tools to give people control over what kinds of content they see".

It's really unfortunate to see that they have sacrified their values for the sake of giving out more content around the world. In other words, as I see it, this is about earning money. Any form of discrimination; racism, sexism, heterosexism, cissexism, ageism, etc, is since 2018 something Valve accepts. It really saddens me to see how they have sacrificed egalitarian values for the sake om money, or as they use as a scapegoat, "creativity".

For some reason I was sure Valve was anti-discrimination, but since they are not, and after reading your comment, I think the best thing for me to do is to figure out if I want to keep supporting them instead.

So, just to get back to the thread's topic, about reporting to Valve. No, as it seems, Valve does not care about reporting anymore, unless it is illegal or trolling. My tip to the creator of this thread, figure out if this company, Valve, is something you want to keep supporting.

You can read more Valve's response on this thread.

I think you have misunderstood me. I don't mean that you shouldn't report someone if they behave in a discrediting, shaving or sexually explicit manner. But we also had people who thought that because they chose Sniper they were discreminated. In this case the child did not know what discremination means. I just wanted to say that you should think about what you report. You are of course right that Valve is only intresstet in the money.
