It might be the driver of your WiFi adapter isn't really behaving well. Try to download the latest driver for it from your OEM as the stock one from Windows isn't up to the par mostly or either the adapter itself isn't up to the task. You can buy some cheap WiFi USB adapters if you need.
Or your router is the main bottleneck of the whole of your WiFi connection. Try to disable any programs like "Plex" if you do use them at all for a while.
