dota 2 entirely takes more skill, there's way more to manage/worry about in any proper rts game than there is in cs which is one of the simpler fps games. now if you wanted to compare dota and rainbow six siege, that'd be another story entirely.

rainbow six seige might have more breadth of skill but i bet cs takes more technical gun control skill

i definitely think dota 2 is more complex but i wonder if cs go takes more technical skill

This is really stupid because
- its completely different games.
- one requires late game planning, startegizing, watching minimap, the other requires knowing routes, aiming ..aiming..aiming ....aiming ...aiming ...quick reflexes ...

you might want to compare dota 2 to LoL ..

they are both kind of strategic though. and the biggest esports. i'm mostly thinking about it from an esports perspective

They have different mechanics of the game but if you are talking about in which more requires more than fast clicking and reaction about the situation.

Then I would say Dota 2. It needed more strategic thinking on what heroes to counter against opposing teams, bans and items to build. When is the right time to use items and etc.

I have seen CSGO competetive games. It was amusing though on how fast their reaction once they seen someone in their scope. Good eyes lol.

Totally different games, CS GO requires you more to aim which need way more mechanical skill compared to MOBAs as a whole that may require more brain.
CS GO is based on Aim (Crosshair Placement, Spray patterns) ,Game Sense (Map Knowledge, Pre-fires, Where to expect people, Smokes and Flashes).

Dota is know for taking more skill in csgo its easy to learn but hard to master alot more strategy comes into play at higher ranks

As much as I dislike Overwatch, I'd say it'd be a better comparison of a team based objective fps as opposed to Counter Strike if you want to try and determine which one takes more "skill".
I love playing FPS personally, a funny correlation with Real Time Strategies is simply whether the RTS player can adapt their mental mapping from 2D to 3D. If they can, they'll be a natural in FPS', as point and click is just kind of a natural thing they do on top of resource management and spatial awareness.

overwatch takes zero skill so it's not a valid option.

also tons of cs:go modes are objective based
