PLAYING DOTA WITH MOBILE DATA
I just wanna ask is it OK to play with mobile data . Dont compare with ethernet . Just wanna know if its playable cuz my friendS play with their mobile data and the ping is stabil , it just cause about 50-70mb per match(depends on the duration of the match) but some say its a bad idea to play dota with mobile data . So yeah what do guys think ? Is it a Go or a No ?

depends on what you exacly want to know
i wouldn enver do that, expecialy for how's the mobile connection where i live

ofc, you have to be able to play with high ping and you should also take in consideration that you could get into lp if it's not a good connection

as data ammount you have to take in consideration the frequent updates (i'd say around 200MB every week) other than what's used during the game

in the end, if you are willing to play casually just for fun and don't mind enidng up in lp and risking playing with high ping, you can do it

you can always try doing some custom games where you can abbandon witouth penalitys to see how it works

for who's going to say he's going to ruin other people's games: if he does he will probalby end in lp and anyway he's going to be matched with low tier players if he can't play for the ping

Downloading updates on a moblie plan can be a problem if you don't have a large data plan
but playing matches on a moblie connection is possible.
However it's not recommended and use it as a solution if your main internet connection went down and you need to reconnect quickly.

I played on LTE for some games on CS GO and League in cases that my ISP decided to screw up and it was fine for the most part but keep in mind.
Make sure you connected to LTE/4G network as playing on a 3G connection would result in a ridiculously high ping most of the time.

You have one free abandon/week. See for yourself.

i played on mobile data before, for me it was perfectly fine and on match of dota consumed around 100-200 mb, depending on lenght

If your mobile data is good and stable why not try it.

I tried once though and it was fine but I dont want to repeat it again.

I use mobile data when my main internet is down, it saves me from getting an abandon in the middle of a match...
Luckily is stable and with low ping...

i think it depends on how fast your mobile internet is, i think if its 4G LTE, it might be okay. With that being said, i still wouldn't recommend playing on mobile internet.
