plz help..... main menu mouse not working.....

In the first main menu, i can't play dota because the mouse cursor is shaped like a normal mouse cursor. so any click doesn't active in main menu. how can i soleve this problem???

You probably alt tabbed in borderless window then tried to go back. Try setting it to using monitor's resolution or whatever it is.

I have the same problem, to me it occurred 1 days ago: 27/02/2018.. i have seached for a solution, over the whole web, didnt find anything usefull..so i gues it has to do something with the last update?

atleast i was thinking that.. so i deleted steam, deleted dota, deleted my GPU driver.
Reinstalled all 3 again, and came to conclusion.. its stil the same.

Like 21ELSA (i added u to my friendlist, maby we can find both a solution?)
-I start the game dota, when its on the loading screen, dota brings the right pointer up, 3 seconds later my pointer from windows comes back.. TAB+SHIFT does not even work, print screen on F12 does not work, i dont know wat the problem is.. tried to fix it for 2 hours now.

If anyone hase an idea.. and please dont come up with try to restart the computer.. we both already tried that, i reinstalled every components of steam, dota and my GPU driver..

the problem is, dota runs, the right dota pointer stays for 3 seconds at loading screen, after the main menu apears, the dota pointer vanshed and the windows pointer comes up.. then the main menu freezes, and everything is unclickable.. this is the problem we have.

i played the week before on sunday 25 februari 2018, everything worked fine, then there came an update i think, i tried to play today: 28/02/2018, and had this problem.

WE tryied w/o it and the game is working properly :)
So if some of you using discord - stop using it :) or Valve should fix it!

Go to Discord > Settings > Games > then delete all games in it!

Then go to Overlay > Enable in-game overlay > Turn it OFF

Then restart Discord and start it again....
After Discord is on,start Dota2 > and after loading the dota press the prefered overlay key , BUT just once!

That's all :)

If you come across the same problem these days, just disable the discord overlay for dota in discord settings... You can carry on with discord but you need to disable the overlay!

I got this problem recently after I switched to a new monitor. I'm not sure why this happens (multi-monitor/ drivers issue?), but the solution to this is in dota2 launch options, type in:
-fullscreen
OR
-noborder
to force dota to launch with those options, then your mouse will click.
Hope this can save anyones time.
