no it isn't the same at all...it's like direct x for windows...duh.
vulcan is trash and not the equivalent whatsoever...but muh valve has to support linux for...reasons. linux first i guess lmao
You really seem to not understand what Vulcan/Metal/DirectX is
But you'll be happy to know that DOTA2 uses Metal on MacOS
It does so via MotlenVK
Its also amusing you claim "Vulcan is trash" with no sources to back that up but you know 'facts' are inconvenient when you're mishmashing APIs in your head
It doesn't hurt the performance in many cases like DX12 does (Even on AMD hardware that supports ASync) and works across the board with different types of systems
but it only has the open gl option? so i assume if i choose open gl i will get metal by default.
vulcan is an unstable, overconvoluted mess, i don't need that.
i assume dota doesn't use metal because most games have both metal and open-gl options
