Why even play the game and chance it then? Either you enjoy DOTA or you don't and if you don't you should find another game.
its been for over a year like this and if youre invested player you should know this
there is max cap you can hit while calibration and it used to be 3.5 k, even if youre best player in whole of dota.
did you rofl stomp the enemy team? were they heralds? did you do role-queue for calibration? (you typically get less mmr for that than normal ranked queue)
my friend finished calibrating already, he some how got mid all 10 times in normal ranked queue. but he complained no one supported once, so he was having to buy his own wards..etc.. by the end of his calibration he gained 900 mmr, even though he lost more games than he won, he had decent CS, decent KDA, PLUS he supported, and at the end of the day he went up 900 mmr.
i think in your games your output dmg will matter.. u have 20 kills? do you have more than 15k player damage? lol do you have last hits? ppl are saying "if you win u get 200 mmr if you lose you lose 200 mmr) that's never how calibration worked. ever. in the history of dota.
like a year ago ppl were spamming oracle and spamming heal every 3 seconds and at end of game had 100k healing and on a support that was an instant 6k mmr, regardless if u won or lost.
4yrs ago ppl would just run around spamming zeus ulti, that was an ez 5k mmr. (this is when all the pro's calibrated... must be nice).
what im getting at is.. your stats matter. did u stack camps? did u ward? did u heal? did u farm properly? are you playing 150%? ur mmr will skyrocket.
this guy top 250 player, now ancient.. idk what to tell u. maybe u were awesome but maybe u had bad cs... or maybe u just KS and had no real dmg output... who knows. or maybe it is a bug? we'll let fate decide.
click the watch button and notice all the divine and immortal players, world rankers already. none of them are ancients, but 10k mmr already (u can see the mmr on world leaderboards)
edit: when calibrating FOR THE FIRST TIME, 3.5k is the cap.
do u not see all those calibrated pro's? all way above ancient?

i guess they got rid of mmr on here recently
