Instead of pressing ALT + Tab, press your windows Key. I found that if I open my web browser BEFORE I launch the game, ALT+TAB works fine. It appears that windows 10 does not have another program to tab to.

no, system issue. i run windows 10, alt tab works fine, don't even need program open

i tried to open that video.txt thing and its already set in 1920 1080
what is the diference between step 1 and 5 because my drive only have

If my first suggestion did not work, do the following:
1. Go to "(your drive)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\cfg"
2. Open "video.txt" file
3. Look for setting.defaultres and setting.defaultresheight
4. Set it to your DEFAULT screen resolution Ex. "setting.defaultres" "1920" "setting.defaultresheight" "1080"
5. Go to "(your drive)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\game\dota\cfg"
6. Open "video.txt"
7. Look for setting.defaultres and setting.defaultresheight
8. Set it to your DESIRED screen resolution Ex. "setting.defaultres" "1920" "setting.defaultresheight" "1080"
9. Look for setting.fullscreen_min_on_focus_loss and set it to 0 Ex. "setting.fullscreen_min_on_focus_loss" "0"
10. Open steam and open Dota 2. try to ALT+ TAB

I just gave you the 10 steps - go and modify that cfg file. Your resolution may be different that what I typed, but you will see YOUR current resolution.

Yuiko, this IS a KNOWN Dota 2 issue that dates back to 2015. It has been hashed out many times on different platforms. Let her follow the directions I posted. Thanks.
(It does not occor on every system. Sometimes it is the Steam overlay, sometimes it is the GeForce Experience Overlay and so on.)

i followed your step ironrock, but its still same after tab the screen stay on dota 2
and i dont need to modified the 1920 and 1080 thing and also the 0 because its already set as the step you provide

Make sure you completely close out steam and go to the CFG and modify then save. then relaunch steam and Dota 2. to be safe, Open a web browser and minimize it BEFORE you launch Dota 2.
