Dota keeps closing itself

When I start dota, after the loading screen is done, the game closes without a notice, etc.
I've tried verify, using -safe nor -autoconfig but none of them works. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Some of my friends had this problem too.

3 of my classmate first experiencing this, then me. I can open the game today at morning. Later I check and unchecked my OpenGL for dota, thats how the story begins..

I got this error by itself.
The only way you can play is by reinstalling the steam client everytime you want to play dota

Been error like this for almost 3 days guys, too tired to keep reinstalling steam client :|

I've found the solution guys. All you gotta do is turn off your internet, play dota, once you get in, turn on your internet, this is work for me. Also, don't ever uninstall your steam using steam uninstaller, it deletes all your shortcuts, I just experienced it.

hey boiz. i just got the same problem but the issue is resolved.
All you need to do is following these steps:
1-go to Library and rightclick on dota2.
2-click on properties
3-click on "set launch option"
4-enter "-opengl" and click on ok
5-now go to steam>settings (u can access from top left of your steam window)
6-go to "Downloads" tab
7-click on "clear download cache" and click on ok.
now you just need to re-log in your account and enjoy playing dota.
(this would also work for any other game that encounters the similiar problem though)

it's okay, it's because of the last patch error. it's already fixed, thanks btw

just put -dx9 if your gpu is dx9 supported or -dx11 if you have High end gpu's
