What is a good time to start learning invoker?
Hello, I'm fairly new to dota 2. I'veonly played about 90 hours but that was a year or 2 ago so i'm kind of rusty. I do however have about 6 years of LoL experience so i know the basics of mobas. So far, invoker looks like the hero I want to play, but he's extremely difficult and that got me wondering. Should i start playing him fairly early so i can get a head start on the process, or should I wait until i have the nuances of midlane down?

The guys that play invo, play him more then 50% of the time, he is very hard and if you don't want to play him alot, it's better to skip him. like i'm playing for 4000+ hours now i know how to play 80+ heroes but invo ain't one of them.

Invoker -
is best if you have a keyboard with macro keys,
and then you assign each of his spells to the macro keys; to make it easier;
Then you just need to learn which keys you need to play -
practice your own keys, and you can be a fantastic invoker.
it requires muscle memory, but also learning which spells to play at what time;
Like if you have lots of people coming at you, tornado - emo - Drop a meteor on them all - so then they cannot cast spells back on you.
Botmatch is basically made for practicing invoker. You can't leap into an online battle while having to read what each of his spell does. Try memorizing them perfectly in botmatches, chaining combos together with items such as euls scepter without error, then take on people online.

You sir, are bad.

You sir, are toxic.
Keep watching better players while they play their invokers. See what they're doing, try to make sense of why they're doing what they're doing. Watch guides on youtube, practice combos in botmatch, invite some friends and pick invoker mid with them etc.
you should probably just start with learning midlane imo.

invoker is complicated sure, but there's also the fact that you don't want to be learning how to mid on top of that.

also if you are a good laner you can compensate for your weakness with specific heroes
You should memorize first all of his skill and how to use them..
or you could watch in youtube how to use combo skills using invo...Well, for me i still use the old school combo of Invo since dota 1...Euls + Sunstrike + Meteor + Deafening Blast + Cold Snap...
