Display Driver Failed when starting DotA2

Hi all, need some help. I have the Nvidia GTX1050 GPU and AMD A10-9700 CPU. I used to launch DotA2 just fine all the time and now whenever i try i get the error "Display driver failed to start; using Microsoft Basic Display Driver instead. Check windows update for a newer display driver." Also, my screen aspect gets messed up and stretches. I have no available updates for windows. I uninstalled Nvidia drivers and reinstalled with updates. I uninstalled dota2 and reinstalled it. I contacted Nvidia who tried to help but to this date nothing has been fixed. I also play TheHunter Call of the Wild and I have no issues with that game. Runs perfectly so I'm super confused as to what it might be. Please help!

Try running dota with -gl or -vulcan. You might need to install those specific DLC. Can also try -nod3d9ex, -dx9 , -dx11. Ask for help in dev forums, people are more savvy there. If nothing helps maybe reinstall OS.

You should've never gone for a AMD A10-9700 with a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti. Now you've bottlenecked your PC, congrats. Better sell that AMD card and get yourself a Intel i5 instead.
People have some problems with these types of computer build. So I suggest changing your CPU.
