Phantom Assassin Battlefury/cleave question

If you have a battlefury, and select cleave from the talent tree do they stack or is it wasted?

Another question, a couple of guides Trte De Lini and PVGNA reccomend BF as a core and first item before deso, is this core? Situational or actually core?

Everything is situational, they also make the assumption that you plan on farming stacked camps with battlefury if you do get it to help speed up your farm.

I don't play PA but if you were getting a BF you want it as a first major item. I imagine there are PA builds which do work without a BF but you really limit yourself to never falling behind or failing to get kills since you will farm a lot slower without it.

I tend to BF first with PA, then Deso, but I got into a flame war with a team mate who called me a noob because enemy team had no manta heroes etc. I was like it's for farming and I was laughed at.

Rarely is Battlefury bought purely as a solution to illusion heroes so that guy was a nut.

BF first (or at least early) makes sense becuase it accelerates your farm. IF you get after getting other big items, it is kind of a waste. Like if you already got butterfly, and such, there is not too much of a point.

Yeah but if you buy another bf it will stack reduced, anyway a bf in pa is not the best choice

No it doesn't, multiple cleaves apply their cleave in an overlapping manner,

it stacks, but not as a first item, PA's Hp is poor, pitiful infact, you can make good things going for skullbasher+bkb combo wich gives you strenght stun and protection, then desolator, only afther those 3 items go for the BF so the farm let you go big in items like satanic and butterfly ..

this like general, in fact if there are ilussion heroes you can rush a BF but be carefull with f.e. meepo por naga siren can do non physical damage, wich means you need hp too xD

Sorry but this is horrible advice, it's like saying get a midas as a 4th item. Yes you are squishy if you get it first but there is no point getting it at any other point.

If you are getting basher, BKB & deso all before then you might as well get a different item and make do with the cleave talent.

well now you say that comparison, I kind of agree... Im not so friend of getting the Bf of pa, but now if the guy wants to buy it, I dont think making it so early can do a big difference

It gives PA health and mana regen and a fair bit of damage, she doesn't have to go back to base as often to heal up if she has one.

You sound like someone who would tell me BF is a waste of an item. I usually have it by 16 mins, and then go on to deso/bkb basher or whatever depending.

I was just wodnering whether they stack or since I've been away whether there's a reason why I SHOULDN'T buy BF first and go Deso instead.

My winrate with PA is in the mid/high 60s
