Can't join custom lobby

Whenever I try to join custom lobbies in Arcade I get the error message "custom game archive does not match the lobby leader". This happens for all games. I have installed new one I've never played before and gotten it. I've uninstalled games, quit the program, deleted the local files, logged back in, redownloaded, and still gotten the error. I've reinstalled DOTA2 and still get the error.

I only use my account for playing custom arcade games on DOTA2. I have never played any of the main game.

Have you DOWNLOADED the arcade games that you are trying to join?

Yes, I have downloaded them and still get the error. Even reinstalling DOTA2, redownloading the games doesn't fix it.

Hello my friends. I have same problem too. when ever i join a lobby in custom games the message:"custom game archive does not mach lobby leaders"- appears but i can create custom lobby and everybody can join my lobby. Everybody will be happy if someone can solve this problem. lots of people have this problem. this problem started from about 1 month ago that robots entered custom lobby. i am searching about this subject about 1 month and nobody knows any solution and nobody tries to find any solutions for players. why steam doesn't fix this problem. my time is wasting. i cant join any lobby in lobby list.i uninstalled dota 2 and steam even i changed my windows but still have this problem. please someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the exact same issue. Also started about a month ago. Why haven't they fixed this yet!!!

I fixed this problem by LeveLup my acount and after lvl 5 this problem fixed.i think steamhas done this change to dissallow BOTS to join and spam the looby.bots are all lvl1. :) you lvl your acount to fix. i played dota in turbo mod :)

i play dota 2 mainly for the custom games, I would play league if i only played competitively. not saying there is anything wrong about Dota 2, but it just gets stale and annoying quick. the last game i played was as a LC jungle, and the guys in bot started feeding and blaming it on me, as i guess LC jungle is no longer viable, they started pinging bot lane after they are already dead yelling at me to go bot lane (and i guess fight a 4v1, as they got ganked). after the loss, i got banned as they reported me. i quit competitive dota 2 ever since.

when exactly was did you go jungle LC?

I don't play Dota2, only the custom games. So getting to lvl 5 is a no for me. I alos don't think that is the issue because I read on other discussions that people are lvl 15, spent $20 and still restricted. Oh and the problem has evolved, now it says one or more player is restricted instead of the lobby leader thing. Valve has broken the games/lobby system by trying to stop bots. Should make sure you know a system is going to work before appying the update Valve

your dota2 lvl must be level 5 and above to solve this problem.

I got my bf to play 2 dota games with my account so I have 2 wins and can now join custom game lobbies. Hope this helps others
