you probly have XBOX Game DVR ON "turn it off"
you could also have the laptop battery on powersaving mode, it should be on High performence.
turn off VSync in the Nvidia option. also there are power mode there to, you should switch that to high performence, also it could possibly be that you are using the intel gpu, you need to switch that to GTX 1060 also in the Nvidia control panel, it should be the first thing

If you don't know how to get into Nvidia controllpanel, here is a random video i found, follow the first step, when he switch to "High performence Nvidia Proscessor" if you have it on auto, it will automaticly switch to intel and that would be your problem, put it on "High Performence Nvidia Proscessor" and remember to hit "Save" or else it will not save. Don't mind the Physx, that should be on auto and not Nvidia.

Enyways, i need to go to bed.. gl!

Hm that's weird. I don't have xbox. Battery wasn't on powersaving. My GeForce driver is also game ready so I don't think it was the gpu. I checked PredatorSense my gpu usage was at 40~45%-ish. But my cpu was somehow maxed out at 99 or 98% most of the time D:

well all windows 10 users have that idiot xbox dvr thing they are just promoting it like that it makes my brain hurt
So someone suggested I switch from obs studio to obs classic since apparently some people have fps drops on studio also. What do you guys think?

you could try that, but if you go to your steam library and highlight Dota2, you could try and deactivate Opengl Support and see if that change enything, also if you have not hadd this problem before, i suggest you try and download the newest Nvidia drivers.

Verision 390.65 is the Newest atm

hmm if you both use nvidia cards, why not use Shadowplay that is built in the Geforce Experience app/program?
Quick update guys I think it's a problem with my OBS Studio. I uninstalled and installed OBS Classic instead and it worked wayy better. Around 50~ fps in bot match with stream preview on.

Oh and I do have the latest driver installed in GeForce Experience so I don't think it was that either.
