Low priority automatic expiration
In the past LP would expire after 2 months, has this feature been entirely removed or maybe you need to wait more than 2 months now? I've been put there at least 3 months ago and it hasn't been lifted yet.

There has never been that forgiveness period.

And no, your low priority does not expire.

Not really in the mood to play over 10 hours of toxic games for power shortage during 30 minute match, guess I'll just stop playing then. Will update this if it ever expires.

As pointed out already, there have never been any automatic or monthly/bimonthly LP resets. There have been resets on very rare occasions for certain major updates. If you want to wait for the unannounced Dota 2 Re-Reborn, then there's a slightly chance that LP might be reset but I wouldn't count on it.

Wait for a reset will never come There are rules, yes its not fair if your connection went out but what about the other 9 players in the game that is ruined? Just accept it and get out of LP.

I know, they can't possibly determine the reason I quit so it's fair, but having no expiration is a ♥♥♥♥ move. I wasn't kidding when I said it takes over 10 hours, and most games are really frustrating. All that just for abandoning TURBO match, that's ridiculous.

Update: my LP has now expired after 4 months (or maybe 3 I don't really remember). There hasn't been any major patches so yeah there's still an automatic expiration time of 3 to 4 months.

Your last played game was in Low Priority, 2 months ago. If your LP "expired" as you claim then you should be able to provide a matchid for your latest game in normal matchmaking.

Mordhau kept me busy this week but I've just played a match, in case you still want to check wether my claims are true. Idk how you see other people's matches though, can't even find the ones I played to give you the match ID, this new UI is terrible. There's a "last played" section in my profile but it's all blank.

I believe the expiration CD is still 2 months, it happened to be 4 for me because I got a second LP.
