Avira detects .dll from update as virus
Hello everyone, I've just had a pop-up from avira saying "/downloading/570/game/bin/win32/steamnetworkingsockets.dll" has a menace named as "TR.Crypt.Zpack.GEN"

Does anyone have a similar issue ?

EDIT: Not really an issue, just a question, I can do an exception to the file but I'll need to know in case I actually have a malware running somewhere :/

Sorry i should have explained better, this happens during an update, not at launch or during gameplay. :)

Neither Kaspersky nor malwarebyte detected anything :/

Use avira‘s feature for exceptions rules.

As stated in the question i can solve the problem, but i don't want to make an exception rule for a file if i'm the only one to have a false positive. And that seems to be the case :/

I would recommend Avast over Avira or AVG, if you're going to use a free anti-virus.

I had a false positive with Steam.exe a long time ago and have put it into the exception list. But honestly I don‘t know if it was the same Trojan signature as in your case. At that time I have found some hints in the internet that Avira has this false positive for the given Trojan.
