because they lose rarity.
''exclusive one time item becomes an everyday market item..'' no thanks.
how about making them ''tradable once'' instead of ''giftable once''
so we can at least avoid scams somehow.
anyways whats more collectible than an item that you can't get anymore?
Hell if you're so bothered why not ask for them to re-release Sithil's Summer Stash.
If people want the cache bundles they can go to trusted traders on reddit for them, it's not like they're no options to obtain them. Yeah it sucks for newcomers to the game, but that's nobodies fault.
Exclusive items are exclusive for a reason, maybe I should speak Blizzard and complain that I didn't pre order Reaper Of Souls and ask for them to give me the Wings of Valor...
And ♥♥♥♥ traders. I don't give a rat's ass about some economy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If people lose money because a previously rare item they hoarded to make big bucks on was suddenly readily available to everyone, that's no skin off my back.
Awww look at the angry person because he can't get what he wants
Just for the record the items were not rare, they were available to all owners of that years Battlepass, just because you were poor or wasn't playing Dota it doesn't mean it is down to Valve to give you a chance to get a bundle that you missed out on.
Perhaps I should go to PC World and complain that I missed out on a discount sale and then demand that they bring it back just for me.
You're living proof of how entitled your generation are.
Exclusivity is inherently anti-consumer, and Valve's arbitrary trade and market restrictions exacerbate this problem. If the sets had all trade and market restrictions removed, I wouldn't mind paying whatever their eventual asking price ends up being, because the product is now fluid while still remaining static in overall supply. But since that option is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pipedream, the best we can hope for is the sets get another limited run with the same restrictions.
♥♥♥♥ your condescending tone by the way, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boomer.
The sale is exclusive to that time frame you fool, please if you're going to try and come across as knowledgeable at least have the ability to back it up.
The items still exist, they're just not readily available. You can speak to many traders and arrange to buy it from them. Think of it like eBay, there is something you want but cannot find locally so you look at other means of obtaining the items you want.
Exclusivity is inherently blah blah blah...look pal you want the items which are stated as exclusive then you dig deep into your account and buy the things, stop complaining because you were not around when they were released.
Oh and yeah it is entitlement when somebody feels that they have the right to constantly ask for something which is listed as "Exclusive" because they were not there for it.
"The 2019 Cache is available for $2.49 and will only be on sale for 30 days. This will be the only way to acquire these exclusive items, except for the ultra rare Rubick item, which will be marketable towards the end of 2020 after next year’s International concludes. Each purchase contributes 25% of sales directly to The International prize pool."
The same applies for the previous years.
Now accept the loss and move on with the knowledge that some things will never be yours no matter how much you beg and plead.
Like I said before, if the items didn't have any trade or market restrictions, I'd pay whatever the going price for them is. It would be no different than there being like Comic-Con exclusive merchandise or something, people eventually won't want theirs and will sell it off on Ebay or Amazon because it's a free market, and if I ever deigned to do so I could sell it off to someone else.
The fact you're continuing to defend Valve's practice of timed exclusive content (with the asinine market restrictions) and completely glossing over all of my points to surmise that I'm some entitled ♥♥♥♥ shows you had no intention of having a good faith argument and are only here to ♥♥♥♥ stir.
Look I see what you're saying, but you have to understand the ramifications of what would happen if they were to be re-released.
Firstly, the (earlier) sets were made in combination with the players and contributed to an individual pay out to each player that was assigned the item.
Secondly, the treasure cache's contributed to the prize funds of each TI.
Thirdly, the description strictly states the items are only available for a specific time period.
If Valve were to back track on any of this they'd be screwed in every aspect.
I don't know how you jump to the conclusion that I am defending Valve's time exclusive content, but i'll let you think that is the case. A little bit of information for you though....Valve is not the only company that has games with time exclusive drops.
Who's here to ♥♥♥♥ stir? If I wanted to do that I'd just flex on you with my Treasure cache bundles.
I am merely stating that you're showing that you're entitled by complaining about something just because you missed your opportunity to obtain it. Move on and deal with the fact that you will never own these items without finding a trader that is willing to make a deal.
