Dota crashes when you connect an external usb DAC and AMP?

Ever since the update today, Dota crashes whenever my external DAC and AMP (for my headphones). The game gets stuck in the loading screen for like 5 min and then freezes. I have to restart my computer because I cant close the game or access the task manager to kill Dota. I've tried to verifying the integrity cache and reinstalling the game with no success. Has anybody experienced this issue? I have no problems with other games like csgo.
