What is the difference between aghanim's specter and aghanim's blessing?

blessing is a buff, while aghanim itself is an item

The new in-game item? The second is an upgrade/recipe that causes you to eat the scepter, turning it into a permanent buff and freeing up the item slot. You have to have the regular scepter first though.

Aghanim's Scepter is the item, Aghanim's Blessing is the buff obtained after spending the extra 2000 gold to make your Aghs buff a passive.

funny how no one mentions Roshan also has a chance to drop it after the 3rd kill.

or that you lose the stats when making it a buff...
