what is the user feed in the profile?

Is it a ranked matchmaking thing? It's empty for me, and I don't see a way to do anything with it. When I google for "dota 2 user feed" I only get results about users feeding...

it displays yours and your friends achievements ie "XYZ was voted MVP", "XYZ has unwrapped a gift from ZYX", "ABC got a rampage" or you can type messages which your friends will see.

Where do I write those messages? When I click on "edit profile" I can't do anything there, or at any other point.

It's not in the profile , it's right above the feed on the.. right in the main menu.(english language is so wonderful)
