Hi all,

I was just wondering why OG wasnt given a free spot in this TI9 since they won the previous ti and acted as defending champions? In all other TIs the winner was given a free spot in the next years TI to defend the title?

I wonder if OG is given a spot now in SWEDEN?

And my view on this situation is that the valve/china politic was in charge as to why OG wasnt given a free spot in TI9 - the chinese goverment wanted to do what it could to stop the winning squad to get a free spot? what do you guys think?=

the winner of previous TI would get a free spot - a place that in the next TI. but the only year this rule wasnt applied was this year because OG wasnt given a free spot to enter this tournament

I'm not trying to be flippant but why does it matter? The group stage started with 18 teams, just like last year AFAIK.

you mean to ti10 stockholm?

direct invite that the winners of TI has gotten is not any qualifications, they are invited directly to TI

OG doesnt need direct invite anyway, they didnt had a single lose
