Banned until 2038 for abandoning ability draft games

I only play ability draft games haven't played dota 2 in a very long time, came back got banned until 2038. Only played ability draft and the only reasons i abandoned was because of the unfixed problems at the time creating massively op combinations by lv 2..


I have 10 abandons for ability draft haven't played ranked in many years not interested. Sad that ability draft is being taken uber seriously. I don't think 10 abandons over the course of years in ability draft is worth being banned for over 20 years. What a ♥♥♥♥ing joke. This is hilarious how serious this game is taking things. Something from a very very long time ago has now come back to bite me. Talk about extremely unjust punishments. I had no idea that ability drat was taken so seriously! Wow

When will you people understand, that you have no right to disturb nine other people by any toxic (leaving, flaming, cursing, shouting, insulting) behaviour. If you do it in any game (mode) of DotA you will get punished. It is not hard to understand. If you don't agree with valve. Select refuse under the agreement when you are installing the game, which will not allow you to install the game. Simple.

The punishment makes no sense, 10 abandons shouldn't equate to 20 years of ban time. If simply abandoning because of broken ability draft or life situations which requires you to leave then the game is taken too seriously and is no longer a game.

If leaving an unofficial game mode 10 times from years ago translate into a current 20 year ban then that simply makes no sense. This is a game, not work. Sorry pal. I can argue against it as a long time customer. Boot licker.

Whoever created this draconian and stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ system is dumb. I'm not apologizing for what i said. The punishment outweighs your convictions, this is ability draft! In overwatch you can play quick play and leave whenever you want because guess what it's not ranked! I've played ability draft when it was completely broken back in the day which is where my abandons come from. I haven't played dota on this account for about 2 years, then came back to a 2 decade ban.

You can check my profile. I only played ability draft and only abandoned in those game modes. When i was playing ability draft the game didn't function half the time, and sometimes abilities wouldn't work at all or be so broken that you win before the game starts from having broken combinations. This is not my fault and being forced to take it seriously and play it seriously with a broken game mode is straight up stupid.

I don't care though, i'm actually happy that i'm perma banned. Lol if they think people are gonna come back after 20 years. They are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb and might as well just say permanently banned. What are they trying to function as? A court? Instead of saying 400 years in prison why not just say life in prison? And valve is a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥. If i could get a refund on all the money i spent or have my library changed over to another platform i would, just saying. I don't lick boots.

If you abandon matches, you ruin the game for 9 other players.

Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp? If you consistently ruin games for other players, the devs have made it quite clear that you are no longer welcome in this community....

why leave anyways? why not just take your loss like a man.

so what if its a slow and painful defeat, the team of winners have the right to humiliate you even further because they deserve it. its their prize.

just imagine if no one was punished, there would not be any full matches. players would just decide to leave if the enemy team got first blood.

we want a full game of mayhem, if someone wants to leave then they're gona have to pay for wasting our time.

First, OverWatch is OverWatch, Dota 2 is Dota 2, there's a major difference between a quick game in Arena Shooter that ends in 10 minutes and a quick game in MOBA that can take up to 30 mins to an hour.

Second, you abandon games, you have no other excuses.

As I said. Delete the game, reinstall it read the agreement. If you don't accept it don't set the game up. Otherwise any leaver in any game is not welcomed in this community. If you still did not understand I can repeat it by another phrase.

its not 20 years ban, its permaban. poor behaviour gets you punished. complaining here wont really matter as your account is already done for.

I think everyone’s missing a very simple fact: you ruined games by leaving them. It doesn’t really matter what your intention or opinions are on the matter. Here’s another fact: your actions have consequences.

The bans issued in the recent wave are for consistent poor behavior and considering you got swept up in it, there’s more than just 10 abandons on your record.

You agreed to their rules by installing the game. If you don’t like it, you can provide constructive feedback. However, the feedback you’ve provided here isn’t very constructive. Also, it’s highly unlikely to change anything because you’re one of the many users they intended to target with this change in policy.

So, I would just stop being hostile, accept that you got caught for your bad behavior and move on.

I only played ability draft, and 10 abandons weren't together. I'd abandon and wouldn't play for like 5-6months then i'd get to play again without playing the penalty. Then i'd do it again. The only thing is the 5-6months wait should be punishment enough. I only played ability draft and quit when either my abilities were broken (valves fault, nor should i have to waste my time playing something that should have been fixed years ago) enemy team has a broken combo that pretty much makes them invincible, or real life stuff happened and i had to go. 10 abandons (over the course of many years) shouldn't equate to 20 years ban. But keep on being good bootlickers.

Don't care anyways, only played dota for ability draft because the community here is so autistic, toxic, and dumb. Just saying that 20 years ban for 10 abandons over the course of a year or so, is extremely draconian and the game is no longer a game when punishments are that harsh. I'll stick to my overwatch.

If overwatch had an ability draft of it's own this game can ♥♥♥♥ itself for all i care.And people who are banned for 2 decades might as well troll the hell out of the forums since they will never play again lol.

If you want to play ability draft you can just make a new account and play.
Besides the fact that leaving matchmade games is an offense it‘s a bit strange to count very old abandons for a decision about a live long ban.
