Sudden FPS drop to 10 and rises upto 80 every 2 minutes.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue. This issue was there about 3 months ago and then it suddenly dissappeared for no reason and now again im struggling with the same issue. Is anyone able to help me with this issue cause its irritating when this happens. Also i have the latest NVIDIA Driver.

Specs - 4GB Ram, 1TB Hard, Nvidia 940MX 2 GB, Intel Core i5.

Please note that the game ran at 80 fps and i locked it down to 60 fps because of this issue but it still didnt work. it would be great if anyone can help. Thanks.

Format your entire hard disk, still doesnt fix the problem ? Get a bigger ram

Isn't there any other way rather than formatting my entire hard disk?

^that, or lock your cpu speed to 100% using a software, you can find alot of them on google.

You called the FPS to 60 so now whenever your FPS rises do you get over 60 FPS?

nope since i blocked the fps to 60 it rises only to 60. But when i remove the FPS block it rises somewhere around 80 to 90.

But why limiting the FPS if it could've gone higher though?

This same thing has been happening to me lately, barely some days ago. Seems to have fixed itself, though.

I has the same spec as yours. But why my fps locked at 30 fps? Ultra setting at 1080.

Then the problem should be your ultra settings.

When you limit the FPS the game wont get stuck. I play Dota 2, that's the only game that i limit the FPS

Btw guys i found the fix. Follow my steps then its done. So far the fix is going good. But not sure if the same problem will come in the future.

1. First go to Device Manager and Uninstall the Nvidia Graphics Driver.
2. Then check if there is anything related to Nvidia in Programs which can be found in the Control Panel.
3. Once you Uninstall the Nvidia Graphics Driver and anything related to Nvidia restart the PC.
4. Then go to the Nvidia Site and install Nvidia GeForce Experience, once installation is complete open GeForce Experience and Install the latest Nvidia Driver. You can install the Driver from the Nvidia website itself but installing GeForce Experience is easy cause you will get updates faster.
5. After Installing the Graphics Driver once again restart the PC.
6. At last set Nvidia as your default GPU.

Thats it. Hope this will help the rest who has the same issue. So far this fix is going good for me. No FPS Drops and the games are running smoother. Thanks alot everyone for helping me to get rid of this issue. XD.
