Dota Plus Guides not loading

Hi,

I've got Dota Plus and most of the features seem to run fine (hero progress, friends and foes recommendations, etc.).

But what's not working is the hero guides. When I select Dota Plus guides, the spinner, showing that the guide's being loaded, spins indefinitely. I'm not seeing item or skill build suggestions.

I've looked in the interwebs and there have been several occurences of the problem before, but no actual solution.

Last week, it worked shortly for one game, but today it's the same issue. What's happening? Does anyone know how to fix this?

What I've tried:
- Fix files
- reinstall dota
- Steam support (they are a joke... telling me that I need to discuss this with my ISP)

If someone has the same problem, here's the solution:
The reason is simple: Dota Plus does not work in bot games and also not in the hero try mode or whatever. Only in specific mode, that are similar to the standard mode. Otherwise it just keeps spinning without any information (great usability, volvo :-D)

Thanks for posting this (albeit a few years ago now) it has helped me wonders as I was beginning to feel I was losing my mind trying to fathom why the damn assistant was not working in my bot games. I'm a returning player feeling a bit out of shape so I was hoping the assistant would be able to 'assist' me in skill selections regardless of mode! doh!
