you are forcing someone to use a spell or item with just the active of your rod of atos, that, btw, cost almost no mana to use, has a short CD of 16 secs and a long range. also!, whenever they fail to respond to your item, you and your team just trapped someone for 2 seconds, giving you the opportunity to kill him/her.
seriously, guys, for the love of goodness, think a bit.
i love new atos
Thank God they also added Hurricane Pike or this item would be stupidly OP.
I love the change in build up to it as well.
Seriously, not only supports buy force staffs, many cores like it as well. Euls is also a popular choice for supports and is a much cheaper choice. (both items are much easier to build over Atos BTW)
Also, the scenario you gave is a sure kill on most occassions, with or without Atos, since it implies that your team got the jump on a lonely enemy.
waaaht? But it had no stats other than int and health (which is worse than strength) and big costly items? Now Atos is good for so many heroes! Atos Sven! You can't escape!
I don't think Ursa is a great example as he doesn't have an inbuilt mobility spell and does have an inbuilt purge, but I get what he's saying. Atos really makes AM, Storm, Ember, and especially Puck cry. Even when defensive items come out it's so painful going against multiple sources of root.
I get that it's a little worse for the like 2 int cores that used to buy it, but the build up is great, it's a bit cheaper and the 1 armour from the agi probably makes up for the 50 hp you lost, plus stat is better than raw health most of the time.
