Difference between Packet Loss In/Out?
Hello guys, just wanna ask what's the difference between the two? I've noticed that whenever i have a packet loss in, my game always lags. However if packet loss in is 0 and packet loss out has like 5-10, game's fine. Thanks.

packet loss is pretty much like information being lost beetween servers, so the more packet loss you have the more you will lag.
^Didnt really answer my question lol. But Thanks anyway. I only lag when there's a number on the "Packet Loss In" side. But if its on the "Packet Loss Out". Everything's fine. That's why i wanna know the difference between the two.

When you lose packets that are INcoming(from the server) it looks like you start to lag because the game doesn't know the positions of the other players and has to wait for the next tick to update the info. When you lose packets that are going OUT to the server, the server kinda makes up the numbers based on the last tick info and everything goes smooth on the return, so you don't notice the lag.
@Dank_Trainer - I see now. Thanks for answering properly.

I don't really know how networks work, but I'm pretty sure that packet loss in refers to packet loss when you download from the server, and packet loss out is packet loss in your uploads to the server. Packet loss out will result in your actions being delayed.
