Is Doom good to play as?
I kind of want to find a new main and im not sure who to play as next. I dont see anyone play as doom which I thought was weird cause his ult looks like an instant team fight winner. So does anyone think doom is a good hero to play as and if yes what is the best strategy for doom?

dont agree with that exactly some heros are too complicated and overall not worth it

doom honestly isn't that great atm, he sports an atrocious 2.0 BAT ,low movespeed, low armor, and low mana, on top of extremely high cooldown spells that honestly don't make much of an impact anymore
I'm forced to disagree. His BAT is low but his orb attack is insanely strong, his movespeed is upped by one of his spells. Unless you play him extremely poorly it's hard to fall behind thanks to devour, and your ult hard counters every hero in the game. Then top that off with the alpha wolf or taskmaster aura late game with a hard carry and you have some great teamfight contribution.

His spells are really high cooldown at lvl 1 though, I will give you that.

remember when Doom has the best dmg/disable ult all time, at the same time being able to clear creep efficiently while securing any well coordinated pickoffs?:steamhappy: i dont... wish i dont even know how good tht hero used to be :steamsalty::steamsad::steamfacepalm::steamsalty::steamsalty:
1 ult=delete enemy+ decent aoe burn with regen MS bonus+ big creep kill in lvl1 +scaling nuke

Every hero is considered complicated if you don't at least try it.

Ult is good, can backfire however in circumstances (AM ult, linkens, rubick, lotus etc) eating creeps is good for early farm since its a free HoM, the skill DPS loses usability vs fat heroes, and for the most part DOOM relies very heavily on being able to hit the target in melee.

Circumstancial pick, wouldn't main or make very regular, can work as a semi-supp due to useful spells.

And yet he has one of the worst winrates in the game(43%) because beside his ulty that has a big cooldown he is useless late game .He is still fun to play but dont expect to win a lot of games if you want to play him.

Well, everyone can have an opinion of their own.
But I do think Doom is a very good hero even now, even though I haven't played him for a while now.I believe he is still a farming machine with hands of midas, which also takes care of his attack speed. He is definitely not a hero that scales well, but I wouldn't complain about his late game presence either.
The thing that makes me sad about Doom now is that he doesn't have a natural Linken breaking spell with him, which was one of the thing that made Doom unstoppable in the earlier days. I dont think going against a double aghanim Doom , with Radiance is a good idea even now.

Get a euls, fixes his ♥♥♥♥ movespeed and mana regen too.

im pretty sure it's jst his ult nerfes tht makes him less of a hero every patches while not getting any basic bonusses (on the other hand most of the underwhelming hero got buffs)

True, but he can devour a mud golem and use boulder to break the linken's I believe.
Or as the one guy said, a euls.

There are high ranked players who mostly play Doom and have winrates over 60% .Every hero can be good if you master him.But he is hard to master which proves his terrible winrate overall

Damnit! I havent tried Doom this patch!

Doom is a great jungler, he can easily get lvls in the jungle with devour especially if you get good creeps at the start (for me best starting jungle creeps are the large satyr, alpha wolf or large hellbear) or roamer if you can get a satyr banisher/golem as your 1st devour (if youre going roamer, make sure to bring clarities because those skills actually cost a lot of mana and unlike the creeps, doom has a really low mana pool). Ive also had successes with him as off lane since if push comes to shove, I can just snack on neutrals so I dont get behind on gold or exp.

Alpha wolf is pretty bad early game because of his abysmal attack speed, even if every single hit is a crit you're going to be out DPS'd by a sven at lvl 1. Only reason I could see myself picking up wolf first creep is if I'm playing a position 5 doom and I'm going to sit in lane with someone that would last hit way better with the damage buff, like a spectre or sniper.
