Whats the point of Dark Seer?

I was thinking about trying him, but I really don't know what he is supposed to be. His ult is good for teamfights, but doesn't seem too gamechanging. How do you play him?

ulti + vacum combo is realy strong, especialy coimbined with some aoe stun (like black hole or reverse polarity)
also he can make the enemy carry safelane a nightmare with the shield during early game

It's vacuum + ult
You can basically free farm all game (spoil enemy camps with shelling th weakest creep, escaoe with E)
usually buy gg boots and blink
otherwise you just supp with shell+speed

hes very good against stat based carries due to his ult, also good when they have wk, a rad hero, or other big aura heros/items

(cancer alert) dark seer carry destroys templar assasin, windranger, phantom assasin in early game, papers sitting behind of their team with his ion shell and surge. he can vacuum some melee hero up cliffs while vision juking, possibly saving his life or delete the hero from the game with abbysal blade or radiance (yes, i build this) if they have no way to get down or have cancerous teammates or their blink dagger keeps on go on cd with radiance. dark seer is the one hero who gives no ♥♥♥♥ about slows(no more slows from PA, no more slows from drow) with surge. a well placed wall can distrupt to destroy the enemy team. don't be afraid to dive towers to get a kill from that windranger spamming powershot as windrun evasion does not work on ion shell and you can always surge yourself and tp away
Dark seer is a good jungler, offlaner, tanker and support(but don't play him as support pls)
Advise: play him as carry if the enemy have 0 to 1 tanky heroes
Best build for him: Crimson guard(damage block), guardian greaves( purges debuff), radiance (more damage when near enemy+miss chance),heart (tank up so you dish more damage with right clicks or ion shell), shiva ( slow enemy down+ more intelligence) and a situational item like pipe or blink dagger or anything you need.
He is gamechanging by early lane domination, jungle-ruining, and tower diving.

Cancerous tip: don't be afraid to dive t4 when on level 8(you should have level 4 in both surge and ion shell) as you can always surge yourself out or buy a quick tp from their base to tp out.

Dark Seer is a very good offlaner. He is a great mek carrier and buffs the team.
He is strong in lane and if in trouble he can also go to jungle to recover his progress.
He naturally pushes the lane, making more pressure on the enemy carry.
A good team hero.
