How to update dota 2 manually?

im copying dota 2 from another netcafe without backing it up first (my biggest mistake) and then i copy the folder to the steamapps/common/... but when im open steam the "Dota 2" did not show up , i already checked up the backup menu but there's no Dota 2 it says. And now if i want to play Dota 2 i must play it manually from the folder itself. The question is , how to UPDATE it ?

it should update when you want to play

After it's in your steamapps folder in the right place, go to dota's store page, hit install, and instead of downloading it should find and verify the files you have.

no it is not , the Dota says client out of date
