Disruptor counter?
He is the most annoying hero arggghhh. Spamming his electric ball skill and the circle trap. He is rarely picked and I don't know how to counter him. Went 3-15 as lina against him in lane. Can anyone give me tips to outplay him?

Silence, stuns, force staff, blink, etc... are all good counters. He doesn't have an escape. If you silence or stun him, he is squishy enough to kill quickly. Otherwise just get the blink or force staff to escape his circle. Once his ult is up, you'll need to be quick getting away.

As a disruptor player ranged right clickers and life stealer are very annoying cores to deal with.

so i have 2 easy counters, one of which was mentioned: Lifestealer. Another is Jugg to spin out of glimpse.
The third is tricky but can counter the ♥♥♥♥ out of him as the cooldown is much lower than spin and rage. Kunkka. X yourself when glimpsed or an ally and you can pull them back to you. Pretty epic when tryharding

bkb ruins everything he does. if you activate bkb you can walk through his circle wall. if you are silenced by disrupter' ult and you bkb while silenced, it will purge and remove the silence.

once you have bkb which is a cheap item, disrupter is useless from then on, especially if you are a carry. all disrupter would be for the rest of the match to you is an easy kill.

Thank you sir (:

For an early-game counter, before you can buy BKB, trying getting an Infused Raindrop ASAP. It will absorb some of the damage from his Q (or whatever that electric-ball-dot ability is)

Thunder strike, and it isn't great since it will lose charges very quickly.

But is it more cost-effective than trying to regen through the damage instead? I'm honestly asking here- I thought I read somewhere that it was a good counter but maybe I'm wrong.

It does reduce the damage yes but you leave it lvl 1 normally so it's only 40 damage per tick which won't even trigger the raindrop, if you do level it more it will basically do the minimum block raindrop can do and consume a charge leaving the other strikes doing full damage.

So raindrops either won't help or will be burnt very cheaply against him.

While the "most popular" build on dotabuff then yes his Q is maxed last, but if you go into the more detailed breakdown then you see each of the several next most popular builds all max it first, so I think you'd be seeing a Disruptor with a high-level Thunder Strike more often than it initially appears.

And in that case you are getting poor value from a charge, even a maxed thunder strike hit will not hit the cap of raindrop, the item is much better against heroes like lina.
