And when you want to install dota 2 again, you just have to copy back the game folder into "common" folder, then stam will recognize and verify it, and all done.

To save time.....The problem is how to patch the newest update of the game without downloading....
It's not like I play everyday, but I play from time to time and these updates are really killing my quota. Why not roll the update out in a single blow? Why the hell does it need to be in bits and pieces of big sizes? It's not like I can play without updating, except maybe starting in offline mode but why would I be forced to do that?
This may seem lame for some people but I find it a very important inconvenience. These non stop updates need to be less frequent.
So what should we do now...
then copy them back after that.
