Dota 2 - The International 2017 #Road To TI17
The International (TI) is an annual sixteen team Dota 2 eSports tournament hosted by Valve Corporation, the game's developer. The first tournament took place in Cologne, Germany at Gamescom in 2011 and was held shortly after the public reveal of Dota 2, with a total prize pot of $1.6 million. 16 invited professional DotA teams fight for the title of best Dota 2 team. Winners of The International are awarded large sums of money raised by the community, as well as the Aegis of Champions.

The International Gaming Wings won in 2016 after passing the final Digital Chaos overall score 3-1. Both teams had a very good route in the competition, that's right, Digital Chaos more lower bracket, where the last five teams including Evil Geniuses. The two teams had met and in the quarterfinals - the first round upper bracket - but that meeting ended with the victory of the Chinese people from all Gaming Wings. It is the third major contest Gaming Wings won this year after The Summit 5 and ESL One Manila 2016 is, without doubt, the moment in Dota 2 team.

The 2016 International Dota 2 Championships prize pool began with a $1.5 million seed from Valve, with additional contributions raised through sales of the 2016 Dota 2 Battle Pass.

The Dota 2 International is well-known among esports followers for being the most lucrative tournament. The event is now receiving recognition for its massive prize pool by Guinness World Records. The 2017 edition of the tournament forced an update to the record book when it awarded a staggering figure of $20,770,460 in total prizes, with approximately half of that going to the champions.

These awe-inspiring figures now officially represent the largest overall esports prize pool and largest first-place prize of any tournament in esports history. Team Wings of China received exactly $9,139,002 for winning the International, the prestigious Dota 2 major that took place back in August at Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.

The International 2017 main event will be held in the first half of August. The International 2017 Open Qualifiers will be held from June 22-25, with the Regional Qualifiers taking place from June 26-29. It is assumed that the qualifications for The International 2017 to follow a new format region and that the teams will be, therefore, compete in six world regions. Thus, the American and European regions were divided - the first in North and South America, and in Europe the Department of CIS. Number of quotas on a particular region is not reported. Recall that at the upcoming tournament in the CIS-DotA Boston will be represented by only one team – Virtus Pro. Valve will certainly try to record again this year to decide, we are eager rebuilt manage how long the prize pool.

Although Boston is not yet truly relevant to the major eSports events in Dota 2 have been, with the TI now maintains the country but two major events this year, and although the Valve has cut Major system. Especially fans from the CIS region, Asia and Europe are disappointed by Valve's decision.
