You should all know that hacking is real in Dota.
This thread is probably gonna be deleted, or I could get banned (hope not.. don't kill the emissary). But I just wanted to share these links because I think It's a big problem.

I've been playing Dota 2 since 2011 (when I got the closed beta key) and I've never had games like this since about a year or so.

Valve please, hire the best people in the planet to make the safest anti-cheat system. We are not asking much.

Now, read carefully, as the guy from the (part 2) video said, people are developing more and more mods for Dota 2 that are game-breaking. VAC can't detect them all, and certainly, these mods that are on these websites and can be downloaded for free will be the first ones to be detected and VAC may work on these. But there are some others mods, private mods, the authors would sell and will be much harder to detect.

Valve must find better solutions to these.

What is VAC?

The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. How can I ensure I don't get VAC banned?

Use caution when installing any game modifications like scripts or custom skins, and only download custom content from trusted sources. Hackers may maliciously disguise their cheats to cause others to get banned.

all the videos you showed us on your original post, they are not cheats nor hacks from cheat engine.

They all get detected eventually. Almost everything is processed server side in dota. It's very hard to cheat and get away with it. Show me those youtube accounts still playing today and then we'll talk.

Also, the couple of those that I watched are playing in modes where you are allowed to turn on cheats. VAC only stops you in normal and ranked games. They do not stop you in lobbies, custom game modes, preview mode, etc... Kind of silly proof...

I mean, you could even safely assume that less than 1% of active monthly players are using hacks.

If there's an average of 500k people playing each day at any given time and 0.5% (which would still be too large of an estimate) of those people were using hacks that would only be 2500 people...out of 500,000.

I've put almost 1k hours in to this account and 3k hours in another one and I've yet to see ONE person using hacks. I know people with upwards of 6k hours who have yet to see ONE.

It is quite LITERALLY a non-factor in like 99% of peoples games and for those few games where it was happening, who cares? Report and move on and the hackers will get picked up eventually.

I think you should re-define your definition of "too many".

Realistic figures are much higher than your given 0.5% its in ranges between 1 - 10% depending on events during dota 2 event such as the recent diretide events the number of cheaters and bots increase alot compared to the norm and you can easily confirm these figures based on dota 2 cheating forum russian members

You literally have total of 4k total hrs in your account and you can't seem to notice the hacks because they've become more sophisticated and advanced compared to VAC you can see this all on the hacking forum they're more advanced and better than the lazy dota 2 developers

The security of VAC is so weak that you can probably bypass by just changing computers ID iirc just an example which is within level of lower script kiddies the level of dota 2 cheats are working at leading edge or recent machine learning models like weaker version of OpenAI with assist

VAC doesn't employ at the level at which Dota 2 cheats are being employed
Machine learning model as anti cheat system against cheaters
Valve doesn't employ machine learning or AI engineers for anti cheat vac system based on their job posting which tells any reader that anti cheat system is not their priority and this was based on their previous job posting of VAC anti cheat system for TF2

Maybe you should understand what this line means: "The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures."

SIGNATURES hence hashes of KNOWN cheat-software!

It works the same way like an antivirus 90% are found by the signature (hash) and the rest maybe by heuristic.

I'm not the op who posted the video links. I just got tired of all the brand new steam accounts in at least 2 games a day that have hacks. I have watched many replays of games where i was suspicious and seen that at the very least they had maphacks and probably more. after a day encountering the same thing in match after match i got pissed and googled dota 2 is full of hackers to see if anything is being done or even recognition of what is happening lately in terms of hackers and found this post which showed videos of more hacks than i even thought there were. Admittedly i did not read the date of the op's post and so necro'd a thread from 2017 but tbh i'm actually glad because it seems to be getting people talking about it and maybe that will get the devs to sit up and take notice and attempt to remedy the situation. Also if its been going on since 2017 and there are alot more of them now than there were then at least in my area//servers, back in 2017 i still thought the worst thing you could do in dota was use macro's for like invoker or something like that and never realised there were actual hacks for the game, But surprise surprise there are and this guy (op) actually found proof so sorry not sorry for necro'ing the thread kinda surprised it was'nt locked my a moderator by now anyway. One thing that is weird is how angry so many people seem to be that a thread with proof of hacks for the game exists, almost like they stand to lose out or something by it being made public knowledge.
