what are some cool cosmetic items to buy?

I need stuff that is noticable in game, like anything that changes spell animations or has a big effect to it.

for example the Controlled Burn for Timbersaw, makes his spells have a fire effect and it only cost 0.3€.

Same with Sword and Board for WK or the Bulwark for Sven, gives the hero a whole new style by adding a shield for only 0.2€.

I also got the green armor for Timbersaw and Faceless, which really changes their appearance.


Anything else like this that Im missing?

Just check some immortal items @dotawiki and/or some mythical items. These are the most known items that change ingame animations.

yep ive checked alot of them but they are usually very expensive. I play alot of different heroes so I need to spread the love when it comes to "upgrades" :P

For example the Burning guantlet for Wraith King is 4€, but giving him a shield instead is only 0.2€. I could buy 20 cool pieces of armor instead of that 1 immortal, and Ive never seen a WK with shield before.

check luna's shields they change both her 1st skill and ulti (cheapest is 0.7€)
for around the same price there you can get a differet bow for wind that changes her powershot

Riki immortal is pretty cheap and it changes his W and gives him a cool effect.

You can get any of the Seasonal compendium sets, those usually have special effects

how do i know which ones? like new bloom or like battle pass 2016?

Check out the Steam marketplace. Most of the sets are dead cheap. Buy all!

When you say cool I think expensive. Dragonclaw hook is a classic, some gold items from TI5, crimson items are pretty expensive. Rubik's spaghetti set, Faceless mace, cowboy ursa. These are the ones on the top of my head.

I like Wraith King's Haunted Lord set with Winterblight sword.

I was given Legion Commander's Arms of the Onyx Crucible set. It is more black and yellow/bronze.

Mark of the Mistral Fiend for abaddon and Keeper of the Northlight for Keeper of the Light both have elk like mounts.

Bounty Hunter's Hunter With No Name, Kit of the First Hunt and Hunter's Glory sets are all uniquie.

Dark Seer's Forgotten Tactician has a hood and looks really cool.

Lina's Smoldering Journey is in my opinion her best set.

Mirana Snowstorm Huntress is great and has Jinky the Lion.

Omniknight's Adoring Wingfall hammer has a bright effect.

I think Phantom Assassin's Raiments of the Eventide is awesome.

Razor's Compact of the Guardian Construct is very different looking.

Windranger's Northern Wind set is excellent and the Bindings of the Battleranger bow works well with it.
