I suppose it might.. . (|||─‿─;c.)՞
A-anyway, uh... other than node 18 (of which even the event there doesn't work, so let alone the text) and, of the rewrite the not yet implanted parts (part 3), where, if I may ask, does it read weirdly? Sorry, I'm open to comments, but usually I don't get any without asking.
Edit: -I'm just a fan who tried to fix it. I'm not related to project moon.-
I can explain this up front at least: (I am guessing wildly what you might wonder about here)
LOB (LobuPointo, whatever you call them.) they have no clear explanation as far as I am aware. They're just award points. You can see it as a value of your capability to spend money on employees.
E-Box (enkephalin container box)
PE-Box (positive version of enkephalin, inside a container box), works well as a feel good drug.
NE-Box (negative version of enkephalin, inside a container box), works as a make crazy, insane, drug.
Energy generated is measured in the amount of PE-Boxes generated, not in Joules or something, since energy is basically generated when positive enkephalin is collected and processed by the system, which is generated (somehow) when the abnornmality feels 'well', (mood wise I mean)
e.e; it's, not really explained how this works as far as I know, but... yeah.
(this is why angela likes it when employees become food for abnormalities, since the abnormalities, relieving their stress by beating up employees, makes them feel good., which is why this generates energy. this is just an assumption, but the more stressed an abnormality is when it relieves stress, the more energy produced. Obviously angela keeps this a secret till late in the game.)
Edit: No reply. I am not going to improve my english at this rate. This reminds me of home, people telling you you're doing it wrong, but never how. xd I'll apologise for my weird to read text pieces.
As for what urgently needs attention, aside from what others have said, it would be worth double-checking the Managerial Tips section of the Abnormalities. Some are incorrect. For example, Porccubus' first tip currently states: "When the work result was Good, Qliphoth Counter was reduced", when it should say "the Qliphoth Counter was increased".
Other tips aren't incorrect, but from what I've seen of other people playing the game blind, they're unclear. You Must Be Happy has one that reads: "However, employese who’ve gained more than a 200 status increase due to the target’s influence vanish the next day", which I've seen confuse multiple people who didn't understand that the kill-condition was the cumulative boost, not a single stat being over 200. Something like "However, employees who gained a total stat increase of more than 200 from the machine vanished the next day." would be more clear.
To add to the "Abnormality and employee name are in the wrong place" list, the Burrowing Heaven does it as well from what I remember.
Other than that, a quick run-through of the story is important, as others have mentioned. There are some pretty obvious spelling errors (drinking a can of "bear" instead of "beer" comes to mind) as well as incorrect conjunctions/prepositions/plurals where they aren't needed and vice versa.
Also, as morbidly hilarious and in-character as it would be for the corporation to refer to their employees as "it"s, if I saw the word "it" in dialogue I would assume it was being used to refer to the Abnormalities. Using they/them/theirs would be more appropriate for a consistent term for employees.
Maybe you can redo this post https://steamcommunity.com/games/568220/announcements/detail/3227268492817347386
and place it here as well? https://steamcommunity.com/app/568220/discussions/0/1696043806567249560/
(Sorry... I tried to read what it says as you can see on that topic, but I am filled with doubts as do many others.)
Like how the startup screen with the 15+ and warnings seems to apply the wrong description to the wrong icon. The needle one is labelled 'Horror' if i remember right (now, i'm not fond of needles, so it's not THAT inaccurate of a description, but still...), and there's also one mislabelled 'Drugs', and one labelled 'Violence', and i'm definitely sure about the needle/drugs icon being mislabelled, but the other two, not sure, which one's Horror and which one's Violence? Oh well...
Then there's the meltdown warning you see at the top when you max out the top-left bar with works, where it reads "Meltdown - [number]level" (with the number attached to the word 'level'), it probably looks alot better if it was something like "Meltdown - level [number]". If that text can be changed, anyway.
And i barely forgot, but there seems to be some untranslated text below the Observation Level when viewing (non-tool) abnormalities in the Codex on the main menu. Might also be a new addition, but just in case you didn't know...
Wouldn't be suprised if there was alot more but that's all i can seemingly remember for now.
Still I'm glad to see this wasn't Really a professional translation job until now. That seemed.. absurd, and arrogant to continue calling it so. So good on you for getting involved.
The fluff and narrative are very much secondary, because a bad translation there hurts only the atmosphere of the game, not its core gameplay elements. The tutorial is the place to start.
After that I'd check through all of the story parts, all character dialogue, etc. Flavor text that pops up during work above the heads of abnormalities, and employee's. Alerts from department AI's should be looked at, messages from Angela regarding the state of progress in energy collection. Flavor text that frequently pops up over the heads of employee's like little chat bubbles, all of this stuff gets seen the most so it has a big impact on how you perceive the quality of the games translation.
There is also the big job of cleaning up abnormality management tips, there are so many errors when it comes to that, it's mind boggling. The same goes for the abnormality back stories and descriptions in the backstory tab thing. You have 100 something abnormalities to look through, have fun.
Good luck with the re-translation, you'll need it.
