[mostly solved] Minor issues with the controls
Hi, the game itself looks fun so far, but I'm having a problem with the controls (gamepad):

If I hold a button, the game registers it as several button presses, like "autofire". So if I press down the button to switch an icon with the icon in the box, the icon switch sometimes happens twice for the same icon in the play area if I don't let go very quickly, which is kind of irritating.
Edit: If this is by design, then never mind. I don't feel 100% in control with those sensitive controls, but I've gotten used to it a little more, and I have a blast playing this game! :)

Edit 2: Please ignore this, I probably pressed the change button too early, which would mean that both the previous and the intended icon would change in quick succession. And in the case where the previous icon is swapped with the same icon, I must have thought the icon I wanted to change was changed twice in quick succession.

More issues / suggestions (but less important):

Another thing that happened to me is that I pressed a button twice very quickly in the menu, which in one case resulted in the menu glitching (and I couldn't do anything), and in another case the "Back" option didn't work anymore, which prevented me from leaving the Settings menu.
This only happened twice, and didn't happen again when I knew about it.

Also, I think it would be more intuitive if you could use the A and B button to confirm and cancel, resp. (Western standard), or vice-versa (Japanese standard), instead of requiring the Start button to change settings.

I would also suggest that you mention the gamepad controls in the tutorial if a gamepad is detected, or in addition to the keyboard controls.

Slightly off-topic: I'd like to second the suggestion made in another thread to add volume sliders (ideally one for SFX and one for music).

I just wanted to mention that I mostly adapted to this, and it only very rarely happens if I just tap the switch button.

I still thinks it's an odd design choice (if it is intended), and it could be irritating for new players, but now that I've gotten used to it, it's not an issue for me anymore.

Ok, I'm stupid. Apparently I jumped to conclusions, and my main complaint is unfounded. Sorry for the confusion!

(see the edit note in my opening post)

Gamepad controls are difficult, they all work differently, some are super sensitive. Will look at it though.
