However, if you take the opportunity to commit Diablerie later on in the story, your generation is reduced to 8.
It's been a while since I played, but if the ranks in game work the same way as they do in books, then your vampire should progress from:
Fledgling.
Neonate.
Ancilla.
Elder.
Methuselah.
That's because 'rank' doesn't really exist in the table top. Fledgling and all that stuff denotes a vampire's age, not their power level.
Fledgling - Brand new vampire, probably still lives with their Sire.
Neonate - Younger than 50 years.
Ancilla - Older than 50 years.
Elder - Older than 150 years.
Methuselah - Older than 1,000 years.

Out of curiosity, what infinite rat spawn are you talking about? And sadly, I don't think you can use blessed weaponry as a vampire.
Blessed gear is reserved for humans, which are a more viable option in multiplayer. Sadly, the multiplayer servers were shut down a very long time ago, and you need some kind of modded, 3rd party software to be able to play the fan made emulator version.
Also, should probably mention that Faith is something that Christof only gets when he's Human. It disappears completely from his character sheet after his embrace, so I don't know how to correlates to him getting a power increase or not?
There do exists True Faith powers in the game that Human characters can learn to wield, but they seem to be exclusive to multiplayer mode.
If it's any consolation, there is also Unholy gear that can still be wielded by vampires, but it requires a low Humanity rating in order to use it.
WARNING: Unlike in Bloodlines, you can not repurchase or earn back your Humanity points. Once you lose Humanity, it is gone for the rest of that playthrough, unless you load up a previous save.
When your Humanity reaches 0, you get a permanent frenzy and it's game over. So you have to be real careful when trying to equip Unholy gear.
