If i ever needed a reason to not play anymore this is it. A patch that just breaks mods (the only things keeping the game alive) then paid microtransactions. Just kill the pc version already you have been wanting to for a long time

anyways this game is something beyond dead; a shriveled carcass of its former self violated by mod.io and tapped for blood by the vampires that killed it. this update is its dying gasp, being absolutely nothing more than monetization and map ports from an inferior oculus version.

you want to get rid of this version so, so badly! you want to drop this game and work exclusively on Shack, and that's perfectly okay so long as you make sure everyone knows! drop update support for this game publicly, turn over all hosting to community servers like you so desperately desire, and nobody will blame you. the VR craze during COVID's dark grasp is no longer.

this game is infested with children who would do better on something like Neopets instead of learning how to sieg-heil in their ww2 larphovel, and the base Leech Developer instinct is to make their wealthly VR-owning parents shell out the big bucks for AWP skins they can't aim with. you could've done better by making all skins pop out of lootboxes, but i think you were so blinded by the prospect of MAKE MONEY NOW / DO NO DEVWORK / BREAK COMMUNITY MODS FOR DEV ENGAGEMENT / THROW AWAY COMMUNITY FOR FINAL BREATH CASHGRAB that you completely forgot to do it.
