In the current state, no. Plain and simple.
no
idk its hard to say. pavlov is the best vr shooter in terms of mechanics and feelings, but player count and lack of content has brought it down in quality some. there is this thing where a lot of VR games are expensive anyways, so in some sense, $25 for pavlov isnt that bad of a price but also idk if anyone playing now just for the first time will ever have as much fun as I did being someone that bought the game in 2017 and put over 1k hours on it.

if you want something like h3vr but with multi-player and some pc mod support, you aren't gonna find better than pavlov. contractors does have some decent modding too but the game just doesn't feel as smooth as pavlov, and the playercount issues are even worse over there

Why? Lots of people talk about the steam workshop removal and low player count. I don't want to buy a multiplayer game with 80ish players

That's what I'm worried about. I don't know cross play numbers, I don't know if the game will be replaced by a better more modern game in a year, and I don't know if its going to lose support due to devs abandoning it.

It's not nay saying when the stats literally show how the game absolutely sucks now.
Most people posting saying no have 1000+ hours played... your just sour cause most people want constant updates n daily's and what not... Spooki has like 1.232 hours played.. how and why do you think it sucks now? maybe your burned out? :D

Last time I really played it was right before the sony update. Ive tried getting back into it, but it doesn't have the spark anymore...

If you're looking for Counter-Strike gameplay, but in VR, with both modern and WW2 weapons, get it. There's almost always full servers running including at least one big one running rush.

If you're someone who will quickly get bored of vanilla Counter-strike gameplay or battlefield-like rush gameplay, do not get it.

Pavlov has been a staple in my VR gaming experience since 2018, and it’s by far the most intense, visceral shooter I’ve come across. The raw, brutal gameplay is what keeps me coming back—there's simply no other shooter out there that delivers the same level of immersion and violence. When you're in a firefight, it feels like you're really in the middle of a war zone, with bullets flying and the world around you exploding in chaos. The way it handles shooting mechanics and player interaction feels so real that it’s hard not to get completely absorbed.

One of the things that stands out the most is how Pavlov embraces its brutality. When you land a shot with something like a .50 cal, it’s not just about knocking down your opponent; it’s about destroying them. The physics are so satisfying, watching someone get hit and seeing them come apart in such grotesque detail—it’s unsettling, but at the same time, there's a strange satisfaction in how raw and real it feels. I remember one time, a friend of mine was hit by a .50 cal right in front of me. The explosion of flesh and bone was absolutely disgusting, with bits flying at me in every direction. It was almost too much to process in the moment, but honestly, I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s that kind of grim, dark humor that makes Pavlov so unique.

What really keeps me hooked is that no other shooter in VR has quite captured that combination of immersion, intensity, and brutal realism. Whether you’re going in for a quick match or spending hours battling it out, there’s always something new and exciting about the gameplay. The way it blends tension, chaos, and the visceral feedback of every shot makes Pavlov not just another shooter, but an experience you won’t forget.
