Is Contractors a good alternative to Pavlov

Since Update 29 and so on is going to destroy the playerbase of Pavlov and it's mods as well as not seeing as much players as before recently, I've been looking into alts like Contractors.

I think you overexaggerate. Everyone is the Discord server are happy to give mod.io a chance and modders alredy porting maps from UE4 to new UE5 beta. For some reason only from Steam discussions majority aren't happy.
Contractors is a good alternative to Pavlov imo. They use Mod.io too and I don't remember any problems with it from a user perspective. There are some quirks that you probably find annoying. Keep in mind that Contractors now is more of Quest game. They didn't had good PC playerbase before crossplatform and now most of the playerbase are from Quest platform.

Contractors has a whole bunch of really well done mods (should be pointed out they're also on mod.io for those thinking that pavlov using it is bad), like Halo and Battlefront and even Titanfall. If I'm not playing those I generally stick to TDM or gungame.

If you're looking for something more similar to the 5v5 team based thing I'd recommend looking at Vail which is also very heavily CS inspired and does it SUPER well, or if you like swinging through windows and are more inclinde towards R6 Siege check out the Breachers Alpha (which is WAY too polished to be called an alpha)[github.com]

It feels a lot jankier, and I hate HATE the movement system. Everyone is way too fast and jumps way too high and it gets abused

Yes, it's a solid alternative. It plays similarly to Call of Duty.

The thing that will "destroy" Pavlov has already been added to Contractors, people just over react to small changes. Mod.io already has great mods on the beta branch.

Steam workshop is not safer. Both have bad moderation. Mod.io for PC players is simply a side-step and modders reassurance there mods won't be deleted.

I think its Trash.
You got 10year olds in every lobby.
The Zombie mode is complete garbage compared to pavlov's (unplayable if you ask me)
Guns feel like they are made out of feathers.
You always grab something you dont wanted to grab, for example:
you want to twohand your pistol and pull your Mainweapon(SMG etc.)
The reloading is janky.
The Mods are TRASH.
Recoil feels weird AF.
The only thing i like about this game is that you can see your arms.
I would stay with Pavlov if it wasnt full of Cheaters :D
I only play zombie mode anyways.
Try "Ghost of Tabor"
Its buggy af but it will be a great game once the gamebreaking bugs are fixed.
plus, you actually have something to achive there (Collecting Loot)

The worst mod is the Halo one in my opinion. Dual SMGs are OP and having power weapons like rocket launchers available for 0 points is stupid as hell. Way to kill a mod so fast.

Not entirely true, the CodZ mod is much better on Pavlov currently and both games are on par with population until Pavlov enables crossplay with PSVR2.
