Pavlov VR

movement issues
im on a rift s

pc specs:
ryzen 5 5600x 6 core
asus rtx 3070 ko lhr
32 gb ram

when i move around my character will randomly stop, slow down, or go backwards
im using the head movement option, changing to hand didnt effect anything
its incredibly infurating trying to go to the action and having to spam the joystick to try to move

if you have any possible ideas on whats the issue or how to fix it pls tell me

edit:
the issue was controller drift, i fixed it by using wd40 contact cleaner here is the guide i used

i forgot to mention, i also use turnsignal ill try disabling that to see if it fixes it
ok, turning off turnsignal did nothing
if i had to guess im saying the headset is using too much usb bandwidth because i usually glitchout when im moving the gun or changing the direction of movement and i think unplugging my keyboard/mouse helped

Weird thing to ask but how are the controller batteries? Mine would get close to dead and bug out.

I assume that you're plugging the Rift S into an USB3/USB3.1 port. Out of curiosity, have you tried using a powered USB hub with the Rift S? Could be that the Rift S is being under-powered just enough to cause the movement issues.
I have had the rift s and tried pavlov with it with it straight from the mobo. Perhaps their computer is putting the USB ports to sleep when they're in use?
today im getting a lot more issues with movement even after taking everything else out of the usb port im certain the usb port isnt the problem
my next theory is controller drift and im gonna do some testing in other games
and playing pavlov on low graphics

Make sure you're not in beta like I was and it sounds like the controllers are really giving you a rough time.
im not in a beta and apparently there is a issue with rift s/quest controller joysticks glitching out like that
the solution online for rift s/quest controller drifting is spraying wd40 contact cleaner in the joystick and waiting for it to dry or completely dissasembling the controller, im gonna try using the first method

Just coming to say I had a similar issue and the WD40 contact cleaner did the trick. Trying to move forward, or backwards wouldn't read properly and lead to stuttering or janking movement. Also have Rift S, didn't need to completely disassemble the controller tho, little spray on the joystick while rotating was enough.
yeah, im waiting for the wd40 to come amazon says its gonna arrive friday
contact cleaner worked
