Anywho, back to the point.
Old way- Grabs grenade from vest by holding trigger down, pull pin, release trigger to throw.
New way- Grabs grenade from vest by clicking grip once, as soon as grenade is in hand, holds trigger to ready release, pulls pin, release trigger to throw.
The only difference is that you now need to remove the grenade by pressing the grip button. You can still "pre-hold" the trigger as soon as you grab your grenade, to make it essentially the same as pre-change throwing. Instead of both pulling and releasing the trigger at the top of your throwing arc (which, yes, would feel incredibly awkward), why don't you just hold the trigger down BEFORE you start your throwing motion, then release it at the top of your throw?
Holding the thrown item (knife/nade, ect.) as long as the trigger is held, and throwing it when it's released is pretty much the VR control standard. It really seems like you are the only one hindering yourself, here. Maybe try practicing a little more?
ie
grab with grip and trigger, pull pin, release trigger to cook, release grip to throw
i just dont have a large space or good arms to nade people
Are you kidding me, get out of here, read his comment first to me. My original complaining isn't being mean.
"why don't you just hold the trigger down BEFORE you start your throwing motion, then release it at the top of your throw?"
You are SO SMART but don't gather I'm saying OLD WAY was use GRIPS on THE SIDES NOT THE TRIGGER. AND YOU'D RELEASE THE GRIPS. So you haven't even given me a proper response yet you peudo-smart pompus ♥♥♥♥.
There may, one day, be an option for you to change it, but don't get your hopes up. For now, you're going to have to get with the program
:)
-The Good Players
PS: I thought the grips were "bad" for throwing and liable to be chucked as you said before but 1) they're attached to your wrist via straps for this reason. 2) actually I was a wrong noob at the time and they're perfectly fine. Not saying they're 100% perfect but they're EASILY CLOSER TO 100% PERFECT AND MORE NATURAL FEELING than the new ♥♥♥♥.
But, OK, I kinda get your point. It was being discussed in the official discord, too. People got used to it and I think it's fine for now. Keep in mind that nade mechanics might change again as this is EA... Soooo, if you are interested in the game, you might join the discord - if there is anything constructive you have to add. In a polite way. ;)
1- Good. Quit, its one less toxic POS to ruin good people's day
2- "elder gamers" are not in their 20s. If that IS the case, I must be an ancient gamer lol
3- If you were any kind of good at all, you wouldnt need to try to convince us so hard. The man who knows much says nothing, the man who knows nothing says much.
4- continuing off of numeral 3, if you were anywhere as close to as good as you say you are, you would recognize Brainslug as a forum regular, one of the more noteworthy Pavlov players (right up there with GunnerAli, Majutshushi, and OldmanZhu), and just a general nice guy.
5- Only a special kind of someone can admit they were wrong then go back to being a giant tool in the same sentence.
That should be enough food for you to go back under your bridge for a good while.
AAAAAaaand unsub.
Cya on the bottom of the scoreboard or not even on them and instead spending all your time on the forums Razika.
But with the tip for holding down the trigger and releasing it at the peak of throwing is a lot better. But options of course, but not only that I'm unsure if it's better than the old system. Or it or either the final best solution.
@Pavlov Devs do you guys have access to knuckles controllers and have the game ready for them?
